For Immediate release —
The Amy Roloff Charity Foundation (ARCF) presented a check to Bridge Meadows, a local charity, on Friday, October 16th at the Benson Hotel in Portland, Oregon. Funds donated were raised during a two day golf tournament and dinner event by ARCF at Pumpkin Ridge Golf Course in North Plains, OR, and the Roloff Farm in Helvetia, OR on September 13th and 14th. Both events were sold out. The entire two day event was called the First Annual Amy Roloff & Michael Harper Charity Golf Benefit, and was the brainchild of Amy Roloff, best known for her television series on TLC called Little People Big World.

Amy partnered with former NBA Trailblazer, Michael Harper, for her debut event that included celebrities Marty Klebba of Pirates of the Caribbean, the captain and crew of Time Bandit from Discovery Channel’s World’s Deadliest Catch, and more. A musical performance by the Concrete Cowboys entertained a total of over 400 guests and volunteers who turned out for the cause that raised a total net profit of $37,500.

The Amy Roloff Charity Foundation will also be donating proceeds from the event to the national charity called Dwarf Athletics Association of America (DAAA). Amy also serves on the board of directors for the DAAA. A 2nd annual Golf Tournament & Dinner is slated for 2010.

The ARCF foundation is moving forward with its next event and fundraiser which is a Celebrity Fan Cruise with Amy Roloff through Royal Caribbean International in June of 2010. Reservations and deposits are taking place now to secure limited space. A donation will be made by Royal Caribbean International to the ARCF Foundation for each ticket sold. It will be an interactive cruise with Amy featuring a welcome reception, and other activities that Amy will host to meet and visit with her guests.

Amy will be appearing this weekend and available for photo opportunities for charity at the Women’s Show at the Convention Center in Portland, Friday October 30th, at 3pm, booth
#850. The Women’s Show runs Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
