I met Amy while volunteering at the National Maple Syrup Festival where I live in Medora, Indiana. She was such a joy to talk with, I have heard so much about her show, her family & her farm from my adult kids, they think she is awesome! I don’t have cable or satelite – (she may remember talking to me about barely having water – at least not to the trailor yet, my husband passed away before finishing the new well – I have a wonderful church family, friends and neighbors that are going to help me with it, as soon as things dry up enough.) I wanted to say, since meeting Amy, I have checked out her website and the charities she raises funds and awareness for – and I want to applaud her choices! My husband was instrumental in starting a Lions Club in our town and we have worked hard at putting every dime we make from fundraisors back into this community – there is so much need here. It feels good to work together on projects that benefit others. I know this is small in comparision – but if everyone would step up and help their own communities, this world would be such a better place. Hopefully, in the future, I will be able to make a donation to help Amy in her charity efforts. I want her to know that I was blessed by meeting her and learning more about her life.
Thank you Amy!
Sincerely, Tammie – Medora, IN
P.S. I have a picture of Amy with my friend (also a volunteer) and myself at the Medora Community School – if you would like me to send it.
